About the Conference

Many K-16 math teachers know what they should be doing in the classroom, but barriers can occur when implementing innovative pedagogy. The Mathematics Educator Exchange at Fairfield University aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice. The Exchange will host a one-day conference uniting educators across grade levels, teacher preparation, and higher education to share practical strategies, research-based practices, and inspiring visions for current and future mathematics education. Participants will leave empowered with practical, up-to-date teaching strategies they can implement immediately in their classrooms while networking with fellow math educators.

  • Hear from Melissa Boston, EdD - Co-author of Taking Action: Implementing the Effective Mathematics Teaching Practices

  • Collaborate with other math educators in breakout sessions on applying new mathematics pedagogy in your classroom

  • Learn from researchers and practitioners about the latest trends in math education
